An introduction to me and what I do!
My name is Annika and I am the owner of Wimpole Street Physiotherapy Clinic!
I have been running the clinic for a little over a year and I am enjoying watching my business grow. I am proud of what I have achieved so far and I am excited for what the future holds.
I graduated from the University of Brighton in 2011 with a BSc in Physiotherapy. I started my career in the town of March, Cambridgeshire at a private Physiotherapy and Sports injury Clinic. Here, I began to specialise in this fantastic area of Physiotherapy and have not looked back since.
I worked with patients with a variety of complaints from farming/manual injuries, whiplash associated disorders, sports injuries and every day aches and pains. I spent time at HMP Whitemoor for spinal rehabilitation and pitch side Physiotherapy at Peterborough Rugby Team. I also completed many post graduate courses including Acupuncture.
In June 2013 I made the decision to move to London and have been based on Wimpole Street since then. A year after moving to London I gained at place at King’s College London and after two years studying and working part time, obtained my MSc in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
Aside from my clinic where I spend most of my time, I also work at a Private gym and squash club in Mayfair and teach a Hydrotherapy class (Physio in the water) at UCL NHS Hospital.
I am a keen runner and gym goer. This means I have plenty of experience managing my own niggles and injuries. I live in South East London with my partner James and enjoy spending time outdoors in Greenwich Park and Blackheath.
I am very passionate about my job and strive to consistently provide a high level of care for all my patients My work is evidence based, up to date and maintained to the high standard of care expected from my governing body, HCPC, and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
